There is no shortage of folklore and legend surrounding one of the world’s most sought-after destinations. And even so, Alaska is not so much of a destination as it is an experience. Ask anyone who’s been to the 49th State, also known as The Last Frontier, and they will tell you their own tale of how they arrived as one person and left as another.
Non mancano folklore e leggende intorno a una delle destinazioni più ambite del mondo. Eppure, l’Alaska non è tanto una destinazione quanto un’esperienza. Chiedete a chiunque sia stato nel 49° Stato, noto anche come l’Ultima Frontiera, e vi racconterà la propria storia e di come sia ripartito trasformato.

But how? How could there exist a land so unique that it changes the individual just by breathing its air and witnessing its majestic landscape? Of course, the only way to find out is to make the journey there, to the place where the land meets the sea, “that which the sea breaks against”, or “great land” according to the original Aleut word Alyeska, from which Alaska is derived.
Com’è possibile? Come può esistere una terra così unica da cambiare l’individuo solo respirando la sua aria e assistendo al suo maestoso paesaggio? Naturalmente, l’unico modo per scoprirlo è intraprendere il viaggio verso il luogo in cui la terra incontra il mare, “quello contro cui si infrange il mare”, o “grande terra” secondo la parola originale aleut Alyeska, da cui deriva Alaska.
